This was my first graphic novel I had ever read. I'm not a huge fan of comic books and I always find the illustrations of characters a little too.....muscular and....well-endowed, which makes them a little hard to take seriously.
I love the Mercy books and have always felt the first book in the series left out a lot of the background and how Adam and Mercy came to know each other. This book answers some of those questions, as well as questions about how Stephen and Mercy met.
It was fun to see an artist's interpretation of Briggs' characters as well.
Overall it was an entertaining, if not short, read. I will probably buy future installments as well.
